Anne Hathaway recently shared insights about her evolving career during an interview on “CBS Mornings” with co-host Gayle King. After starring in five films this year, Hathaway admitted she was surprised by the volume of work and concerned it might be overwhelming for viewers. Her latest movie, “Verity,” is set to premiere on Friday. She expressed hope, saying, “What if it goes better than you imagine?”
Looking back, Hathaway revealed that she has learned to relax and enjoy her work. She emphasized the importance of the emotional connection with others, stating, “I wish I had figured that out earlier, but I’m grateful to have done so.”
Embracing Maternity Style
During her press tours, Hathaway credited Rihanna for inspiring her maternity fashion choices. Observing Rihanna’s maternity style encouraged Hathaway to be imaginative and adventurous in her own wardrobe. She is soon expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman and expressed joy, noting the impact of this change on her family. “We’re about to go through this beautiful threshold together,” she remarked.
Role in “Verity”
Hathaway discussed her role in “Verity,” a psychological thriller adapted from Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. Playing Verity Crawford, an incapacitated author, required a focus on collaboration due to her character’s limited mobility. “Collaboration became everything,” she noted, highlighting the importance of fine details to create a “creepy and eerie” atmosphere in the film.
