Midair Brawl on London-bound Flight: Passengers and Crew React

A dramatic video recently captured the moment a violent altercation broke out between two passengers on a London-bound flight, leading to chaos among fellow travelers. This incident occurred on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Sylhet, Bangladesh to London Heathrow on September 16, as reported by news agency Jam Press.

The brawl started when an argument escalated to a physical fight, with one man’s T-shirt visibly torn during the altercation. Passengers, including children and elderly individuals, were disturbed as the men exchanged punches in the aisle. Video footage shows men and women rising from their seats, attempting to break up the confrontation.

Airline crew eventually intervened, restoring order among passengers. Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirmed through a statement that the cabin crew managed to resolve the situation between the involved passengers. The video of the altercation was later shared on social media, attracting considerable attention.

Mohiuddin Ahmed, general manager of the airline’s public relations, stated, “The flight departed Sylhet for London this morning. At some point during the flight, two passengers got into a physical altercation.” The intervention by the crew successfully defused the situation before further escalation.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Metropolitan Police at Heathrow Airport to determine if any arrests were made following the incident. However, immediate responses from the police department or the airline were not reported.

Such disruptions during flights are becoming increasingly common. Earlier this year, a separate brawl on an easyJet flight led to a forced return to Tenerife shortly after takeoff. Last year, an American Airlines passenger was restrained after injuring a flight attendant.
