Democratic Representative Joyce Beatty from Ohio has taken legal action regarding the Kennedy Center. She submitted an emergency motion to a federal judge. This motion aims to prevent the Kennedy Center’s board of trustees from reinstating President Donald Trump’s name on the building.

This action occurred a week after the center’s board, which has ties to Trump, voted again to add his name. This is not the first time the board attempted this change. In February, new signage displaying Trump’s name was installed but subsequently removed in June.

The move has sparked controversy and led to legal proceedings as differing opinions on the matter persist.
