The New Orleans Saints rookie, Brock Rechsteiner, found himself in the spotlight during a training camp clash with the Dallas Cowboys. Known for his WWE ties, Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner and nephew of Rick Steiner, displayed wrestling moves like German suplexes on his opponents.
The brawl, a chaotic scene with punches, helmets thrown, and WWE-style moves, took place at the joint practice between the Saints and Cowboys. The event occurred at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie, Louisiana.
Pat McAfee, former WWE commentator, reacted to Rechsteiner’s actions, suggesting he should consider a move to NXT alongside his cousin, Bron Breakker, a rising WWE star. Breakker is scheduled to face Oba Femi at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.
Rechsteiner’s football season faced a setback as he was suspended for the first six games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy. During his college career at Jacksonville State, he achieved 53 catches for 629 yards and seven touchdowns from 2023 to 2025, with a strong final year performance.
The Rechsteiner family ties to WWE are notable. Brock and his brother Brandon, a former basketball guard at Colorado State, signed NIL deals with WWE last year. Brandon is transferring to Kansas State after averaging 12 points per game with the Rams.
Brock signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent before joining New Orleans. His wrestling moves during the camp brawl underscore his family’s wrestling legacy.
