A retired mathematics professor has been charged in connection with the alleged murder of his wife, who was employed as a meteorologist for an airline. Police received a call from a residence located in Fair Oaks, Virginia, where they discovered Chisen Jameson, 60, suffering from gunshot wounds. Before her tragic death, she made a call to 911, during which gunfire noises were reportedly audible, as mentioned by FOX 5.

Leland Jameson, 64, faces charges of second-degree murder and firearm use in the commission of a felony. He had previously served as a professor at George Mason University, holding a Ph.D. from Brown University. In addition to being charged, Leland Jameson contacted 911 himself, reporting a domestic issue and expressing uncertainty about the extent of his wife’s injuries.

Authorities found several firearms within the residence. Chisen Jameson worked as a meteorologist for Japan’s All Nippon Airways based at Dulles Airport. The airline expressed profound sorrow at her passing in a statement, highlighting her value to the team and the significant impact of her loss on colleagues.
