Ibrahim Zabad, a political science professor at the New York-based university, shared a controversial message on social media expressing negative sentiments towards Graham.

The post, made late on a Saturday evening, included inflammatory language and ended with the phrase “Rest in Hell.” By early the next morning, the post had been removed and replaced with an apology. Zabad acknowledged in the apology that the original message was inappropriate and disrespectful, failing to show compassion during a time of loss.

Senator Lindsey Graham, who passed away at the age of 71, was a prominent figure in the U.S. Senate. His death came as a shock to many in Washington, where he was known as an active member. An autopsy indicated that Graham died from aortic dissection linked to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
