Queen Camilla backs King Charles III’s efforts to mend his estranged relationship with Prince Harry. However, she opts not to get personally involved. Royal experts shared these insights with Fox News Digital. Prince Harry plans to visit the U.K. on July 7 for events related to the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, a significant milestone tied to his charitable initiatives.

According to the BBC, Meghan Markle and the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will not join him in London. The family will not receive taxpayer-funded police protection during the visit. Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet might still join Harry later in the week. But whether King Charles will meet his grandchildren remains uncertain.

Experts expressed that Camilla desires for Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment, to spend time with his young grandchildren. However, trust within the House of Windsor has not yet been fully restored.

“Camilla has supported Charles in his ambition to reunite with Harry, [but] she regularly protects Charles’ interests,” Ian Pelham Turner, a royal broadcaster, told Fox News Digital.

“Camilla believes in duty. She cares for the king and understands the rift has caused him worry,” Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, shared.

The likelihood of Prince William reconciling with Prince Harry soon appears slim, according to expert opinions.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich mentioned, “Camilla has been a stabilizing force and is unlikely to block Charles if he truly wishes to meet with Harry. She’ll prefer to maintain her distance.” Although Fordwich emphasized the preference for calm over confrontation, she noted that any meeting might involve only Charles and Harry due to trust issues.

The Daily Express reported that Camilla would avoid the couple during their visit and would not be present when they arrive.

Katie Nicholl, a royal correspondent for Vanity Fair, revealed that Camilla values spending time with her own children and grandchildren, sometimes retreating to Ray Mill, her family home, rather than joining the king at Highgrove. Nicholl asserts, “Family has always been significant to Camilla.” Camilla has motivated the king to focus more on family by encouraging him to spend time with his grandchildren instead of engaging in work.
