Changes continue to unfold within the ranks of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). On Wednesday, Anthem Sports & Entertainment, TNA’s parent company, revealed further adjustments to the company’s roster of talent and staff.
The organization confirmed the departure of wrestling legend Tommy Dreamer, alongside former TNA world champion Tessa Blanchard. TNA stated in a press release that these changes are part of a strategy aimed at streamlining operations and boosting profitability.
Personnel Changes
Tommy Dreamer’s exit marks a significant shift within the company. Dreamer, who had been involved with TNA’s Creative and Talent Relations Departments, made his departure public during an emotional appearance on Busted Open Radio. TNA acknowledged that Dreamer and the company mutually agreed to end their partnership.
The organization also announced the release of Tessa Blanchard. Both Dreamer and Blanchard have left TNA with well wishes for their future endeavors. Pro wrestler Sami Callihan also made public his departure from TNA, stating via social media that he had expected a promotion but instead parted ways with the company.
Further Departures
These recent changes follow the earlier departure of other wrestlers from the company, including Steve Maclin and Myla Grace. It seems alterations within TNA are part of a broader strategy to adapt and refocus on core objectives.
TNA’s shifting creative leadership indicates possible new directions for the organization as it navigates the ever-evolving landscape of professional wrestling.
