State Department Announces Reward for Information on U.S. Tech Sales to Iran

The State Department has announced a $15 million reward for information concerning four Chinese nationals. These individuals are alleged to have assisted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in obtaining U.S. military equipment and drone technology.

According to a release from the State Department, Liu Baoxia, Li Yongxin, Yung Yiu Wa, and Zhong Yanlai are implicated in facilitating the sale of U.S. goods. These goods were sent to front companies in China, which then forwarded the technology to Iran. This technology would subsequently be used by the IRGC and affiliates, such as Shiraz Electronics Industries and Rayan Roshd Afzar, for the development and manufacturing of unmanned aerial vehicles, arms, and weapons systems.

The manufactured products are reportedly being sold to governments and organizations in allied countries, including Russia, Sudan, and Yemen, breaching U.S. sanctions.

Officials are calling for individuals with knowledge of these illegal sales to report information anonymously through the Tor Browser. A financial reward is offered to encourage these disclosures.
