Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run in Chicago’s South Shore

A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred early Sunday morning in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. Police reported that a 64-year-old woman was killed in the collision.

The victim was a passenger in a dark-colored SUV traveling north on South Stony Island Avenue. At approximately 2:42 a.m., the SUV was struck by a dark-colored sedan. According to police, the driver of the sedan abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
