Recent developments involving the Trump administration have sparked concerns about alleged corruption. Notable among these are the disclosure of thousands of stock trades and the granting of immunity from IRS audits. Additionally, the Department of Justice’s creation of a nearly $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund has attracted scrutiny.

A large image of President Trump was recently displayed at the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building in Washington. This coincided with the Justice Department’s announcement of a compensation fund for allies of Trump. These allies claim they were unfairly targeted by the federal government during the previous administration.

Both Democratic and Republican lawmakers have raised questions regarding these actions. Michael Waldman, president and CEO of the Brennan Center for Justice, describes these actions as “corruption in plain sight.” The Brennan Center is a non-partisan legal think tank focused on issues related to justice and democracy.
