Pochettino’s frustration grew when Belgium scored again two minutes later. De Ketelaere headed the ball over defender Tim Ream, putting Belgium ahead.

Following Belgium’s second goal, Pochettino vented by kicking Powerade bottles on the ground. It was a challenging half for Team USA, requiring corrections before resuming play.

Despite holding 47% possession, the USMNT faced a stronger offensive from Belgium. Belgium managed five shots on goal, while the US only had one, creating concerns for the US side.

To advance to the quarterfinals against Spain, the US must improve. Achieving that would mark the country’s second appearance in the quarterfinals since 2002.

Pochettino may address frustrations in the locker room, needing strategic changes for the remaining game.
