Trump Considers Hunter Biden’s Potential Political Future

President Donald Trump humorously entertained the possibility of Hunter Biden entering the presidential race in 2028. On Thursday, he mentioned that if candidates with controversial backgrounds, like Graham Platner from Maine, can endure the political arena, then Hunter Biden might have a chance as well.

During a conversation with Fox News’ Peter Doocy, Trump was asked about Hunter Biden’s potential in a 2028 Democratic primary. Doocy pointed out Hunter Biden’s increasing activity on social media, raising speculations about his political ambitions. Trump responded, acknowledging Hunter’s past issues.

The former president also drew a comparison between Hunter and Graham Platner, a Maine Senate candidate embroiled in numerous controversies, including ties to a Nazi-linked tattoo and drug use. Despite these controversies, Platner remains competitive in his race against GOP Sen. Susan Collins.

Trump made another comparison with James Talarico, a Senate candidate in Texas, suggesting that Hunter could perform similarly well in a campaign.

While addressing the media during an event focused on coal energy investment, Trump also shared insights about Joe Biden’s mental state during a private meeting in 2024. A reporter questioned Trump’s perception of Biden’s cognitive abilities during their Oval Office meeting. Trump noted no apparent decline, though he commented on Biden’s performance post-election debates.

Despite joking about Hunter’s potential candidacy, Trump remarked that Joe Biden, while not the “sharpest,” appeared steady during their interaction.
