A disturbing event unfolded in House Springs, Missouri, where a mother and her teenage daughter were shot and killed by their neighbor over a disagreement. Police identified the neighbor as 73-year-old Robert Winkelman, who approached the victims’ residence on July 25 to address a perceived issue.

Details of the Shooting

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports that initially, Winkelman confronted 38-year-old Jessica Lashly about activities at her home. When she responded, Winkelman fatally shot her. The altercation escalated when Lashly’s 17-year-old daughter, Jersey Greer, attempted to help her mother and was also shot in the head.
