Tragic Loss of Promising Graduate in Indianapolis

A recent graduate from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis was tragically killed last Thursday. Brett Scrogham, aged 23, lost his life due to a violent crime.

Scrogham had planned to attend an Indianapolis Indians baseball game with his family. He parked his car in a public garage downtown. Witnesses heard a gunshot and saw a man fleeing the scene. Police arrived to find Scrogham injured. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries by Saturday, according to police reports.

Violent crime in Indianapolis is attracting significant attention. Mayor Joe Hogsett expressed his sorrow for this loss. He stated violence is intolerable, particularly when it takes an innocent person’s life. The mayor praised local law enforcement’s efforts in the investigation.
