Tension Between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Continues

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese exchanged heated words during the Fever’s game against the Dream in Atlanta. The incident occurred when Clark was fouled by the Dream’s Jordin Canada. Reese swiped at the ball in Clark’s hands, prompting Clark to wave Reese off. This exchange followed shortly after Clark scored a three-pointer.

This rivalry is not new. Reese showed visible frustration toward Clark during a recent game where the Dream faced Indiana. Reese mocked Clark by flailing around during a break in play.

Last year, Reese, then with the Chicago Sky, reacted strongly after being fouled by Clark. Her teammates had to restrain her as she yelled, while Clark walked away without engaging further.

The tension between Reese and Clark can be traced back to the National Championship game in 2023. Reese’s taunting of Clark has painted her as a villain in their ongoing rivalry.

In the latest matchup, the Dream outscored the Fever 28-15 in the third quarter, securing a 113-96 win. Clark scored 26 points but had seven turnovers. Reese added 18 points and eight rebounds. The Dream now lead the season series against the Fever, 2-1.
