A conflict between two teachers at a Miami charter boarding school led to their arrests following a violent incident. Reports indicate a classroom meeting escalated and turned aggressive.

The Miami-Dade Schools Police arrest affidavit reveals that Terrod Tiyan Torrence, aged 36, and Odiria Biggins, were in a previous romantic relationship and share a child. Prior to the incident, Biggins received a handwritten note from Torrence requesting a discussion.

On July 17, Biggins met Torrence in Classroom 119 at The SEED School of Miami. Witnesses and investigators report that what began as a dialogue quickly became physical. Biggins informed police that Torrence struck her repeatedly on the left side of her head and then forced her head into a wall, resulting in her losing consciousness.

After regaining consciousness, Biggins is said to have taken a canister of pepper spray from her vehicle. She reportedly found Torrence later on campus and used the pepper spray on him. Surveillance footage confirms Biggins entering a classroom where Torrence was.

Subsequently, both individuals left the classroom, with Torrence displaying difficulty walking and visible eye irritation. School staff provided immediate aid, and he was later hospitalized.

Biggins faced arrest on charges of discharging a weapon on school property for the alleged use of pepper spray, alongside a misdemeanor domestic violence battery charge. Her bond was set at $2,000 by a judge.

Authorities arrested Torrence the following day, charging him with misdemeanor domestic violence battery. He was held at Miami-Dade Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a standard bond of $2,000. A judge imposed a no-contact order barring interaction with Biggins, and his arraignment is slated for September 23.

The reason for the argument remains unclear, and it is also uncertain whether any students witnessed the event. Inquiries about the current employment status of the teachers have been made to Miami-Dade Schools Police and The SEED School of Miami.
