Spencer Pratt Responds to Critics Amid Mayoral Campaign

Spencer Pratt, known for his role in “The Hills,” has transitioned into politics with his bid for mayor of Los Angeles. His campaign has drawn considerable attention and criticism, particularly from “Hacks” actress Hannah Einbinder. During a recent event, Einbinder expressed her disapproval of Pratt, citing the influence of wealth on political affiliations in Los Angeles.

She commented, “There’s significant wealth in this city, and many individuals pose as Democrats or left-leaning, but their primary concern is money, which leads them to support candidates like Spencer Pratt, endorsed by Donald Trump.” Einbinder stressed the importance of opposing Pratt’s candidacy.

Pratt responded to Einbinder’s remarks on social media, sharing a video of her comments. He pointed out the irony of her speaking from a “red carpet,” protected by security, while ordinary residents face daily challenges. He claimed that Einbinder is part of an “elite minority,” contrasting it with the broader public’s desire for change.

Pratt hasn’t hesitated to tackle criticism from other celebrities. Recently, Lisa Rinna dismissed the idea of a reality star becoming the next mayor of Los Angeles. In response, Pratt referenced Karen Bass’s controversial past activities, highlighting his own television background as preferable.

In another instance, Chelsea Handler criticized Pratt on Instagram, suggesting that a former reality star without prior government experience should not be a credible political candidate. Pratt fired back, sharing a video from Shane Gillis that alluded to Handler’s past associations.

A recent poll by the L.A. Times indicates a close race, with Mayor Karen Bass leading at 26% support, followed by Raman with 25%, and Pratt at 22%. The competition intensifies as Pratt continues to address detractors and emphasize his commitment to change.
