McConnell’s withdrawal from public visibility began after his June 14 hospitalization, which resulted in a stay at a rehabilitation facility. Although his office announced his discharge and ongoing recovery at home, McConnell has yet to address the public, leaving many concerned about his capacity to serve his remaining term.
