Randy Fine Secures Republican Primary Victory in Florida’s 6th District

Rep. Randy Fine, a Republican from Florida, emerged victorious in the Republican primary for Florida’s 6th Congressional District. He triumphed over a diverse group of contenders, marking a campaign filled with personal attacks aimed at him.

The Cook Political Report rates this district as a solid Republican stronghold. Fine defeated several opponents, including businessman Manuel P. Asensio, challenger Aaron Baker, retired U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Charles Gambaro, and social media influencer Dan Bilzerian. Notably, Bilzerian directed antisemitic remarks toward Fine during the campaign.

Fine’s campaign benefited from several significant advantages. He had a substantial fundraising lead and received an endorsement from President Donald Trump. Trump endorsed Fine in October 2025, describing him as a “MAGA Warrior.”

Strong Advocate in Congress

Since being elected to Congress in a 2025 special election after Mike Waltz’s resignation, Fine has established himself as a staunch advocate for Israel and efforts to combat antisemitism. Before entering Congress, he was Florida’s only Jewish Republican legislator, earning the nickname “Hebrew Hammer” for his work, which he has since embraced.

Dan Bilzerian, a social media influencer and businessman, entered the political fray with a controversial reputation. Known for his playboy lifestyle, Bilzerian founded Ignite International Brands, known for products like disposable vapes and alcohol. He has openly associated himself with Andrew Tate, another influencer facing legal issues, including charges of rape and sex trafficking.

Condemnation of Antisemitic Remarks

Bilzerian’s campaign drew severe criticism for antisemitic comments and conspiracy theories targeting Jews. His remarks have included false claims regarding events like 9/11 and the Holocaust.

Just days before the election, Dan Bilzerian intensified his attacks. He posted on social media suggesting an understanding of the “Jewish problem” and released an AI-generated ad with derogatory content aimed at Fine.

The ad prompted a strong response from House Speaker Mike Johnson, who condemned the antisemitic sentiments expressed. Johnson stressed the importance of rejecting hatred and discrimination in political discourse.

Political Journey and Future Prospects

Before his time in Washington, Fine served for eight years in the Florida House and later in the state Senate. There, he chaired several committees and became known for his advocacy on issues like school choice and immigration enforcement.

With his win in the primary, Fine is set to contest the November general election, with prospects looking favorable in this Republican-leaning district.
