Philadelphia Eagles’ Ja’Quinden Jackson Injured in Preseason Game

During a preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, running back Ja’Quinden Jackson suffered an injury. This incident occurred on the opening kickoff on Saturday night in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Following the injury, the Eagles reported that Jackson retained strength and movement in his extremities. He was transported to a hospital for further checks. The incident happened when Jackson, part of the kickoff team, tackled New England’s Lan Larison. Shortly after the play, he was motionless on the field.

Medical staff from both teams responded swiftly to assist Jackson, bringing in a backboard and ambulance promptly. Players from both teams knelt near the sideline as Jackson was positioned on a stretcher. Eagles teammates gathered around him briefly before his transfer to the ambulance. Observers noted Jackson raising his left arm momentarily. Play resumed minutes later.

Backup quarterback Tanner McKee expressed relief postgame, noting they received updates saying Jackson was doing well. “A lot of different emotions just praying and hoping that he’s OK,” McKee commented. “Word was going around that he was talking, he was responsive and moving. That kind of got everybody to settle down a little bit and we know our teammate is doing OK.”
