Omos, known for his imposing presence in WWE, has taken a break from the promotion for two years to explore new ventures. His recent journey included a stint at Pro Wrestling Noah in Japan, followed by a notable appearance at AAA’s Triplemania 33 in Mexico, where he secured victory in the Bardahl Cup.

Omos returned to the ring at SmackDown in Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on April 5, 2024. In an interview with OutKick Dropkick, Omos shared his thoughts on transitioning to AAA after his time in Japan. He expressed enthusiasm for immersing himself in different wrestling cultures, which, despite their unique features, share a universal passion. His experience in Japan prepared him for AAA’s environment.

Recently, Omos faced suspension from AAA following an intense altercation with Rey Mysterio, the AAA general manager. Despite being suspended, Omos continued to fuel the rivalry by appearing in audiences, leading to further interactions.

Omos’s opportunity to regain his position on the AAA roster arrives during Triplemania 34’s Night 1 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. He eagerly anticipates confronting Rey Mysterio, one of WWE’s most celebrated stars, dismissing any accolades associated with Mysterio’s legendary Lucha Libre career.

As AAA commentator Corey Graves remarked, the clash between Omos and Mysterio exemplifies a dramatic David and Goliath narrative, promising an unforgettable encounter.
