An alarming social media trend known as the ‘Benadryl challenge’ has led to serious consequences, with an Oklahoma teenager experiencing critical health issues.

The challenge involves consuming excessive amounts of Benadryl and attempting to remain awake despite its sedative effects. This misuse can result in severe side effects like seizures and cardiac arrest.

The affected individual, Leah Presson, aged 15, is currently under intensive care in Oklahoma. Local reports from KFOR indicate multiple tests show zero brain activity.

Her father, Richard Presson, shared his feelings with KFOR, stating, “I don’t even want to think about a funeral because there’s still hope. Everyone seems to be giving up too soon. I believe in miracles; she’s definitely a miracle baby.”

He emphasized, “Everyone should be aware of how to educate their children. These challenges are frivolous, and education is vital to prevent recurrence.”

“I just want everybody to be aware of where they can educate their kids,” Richard Presson expressed.
