Running Fashion Takes the Spotlight

Keely Hodgkinson stunned spectators with her aerodynamic attire at the Athlos meet in North London. Keely, an Olympic middle-distance runner, wore a full-body, all-black catsuit, catching attention both on and off the track. This ‘zero-distraction speed suit’ sparked conversations around functionality and style in athletic wear.

This move reminds us of past debates over athletic gear, particularly when Nike introduced its Team USA track and field kits for the Paris Olympics. Critics labeled them as ‘sexist.’ However, female athletes had multiple options, preferring what many perceived as scanty attire. Keely, by contrast, found comfort in the catsuit, emerging victorious in her event.
