The late Senator Lindsey Graham’s life and legacy will be honored in Washington, D.C., as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu travels to meet with President Donald Trump next week. Netanyahu’s office announced the visit, scheduled for Tuesday, with memorial services following in Columbia and Pickens County, South Carolina, on Wednesday.

Netanyahu paid tribute to Graham, describing him as a “dear friend” and applauding his dedication to both Israel and the United States. “Lindsey is a great friend of Israel and a cherished friend of mine. We have no better friend than Lindsey,” said Netanyahu. He commended Graham for his role in strengthening the U.S.-Israel alliance and supporting the free world.

“Israel has lost one of its greatest friends. America has lost a great patriot. I have lost a beloved friend,” Netanyahu expressed.

In recent military collaborations, the U.S. and Israel launched Operations Epic Fury and Roaring Lion against Iran on February 28. Over the past 13 days, U.S. Central Command and the Israel Defense Forces have conducted strikes against Iranian targets, responding to provocations from Hezbollah, an Iran-supported terrorist group in Lebanon.
