Natalie Harp’s Role in Trump’s Administration Draws Media Attention

The White House labeled journalist Aaron Rupar a ‘sick, deluded freak’ over a photo he posted of Natalie Harp, a close aide to President Donald Trump, during Trump’s trip to Ireland. Rupar’s post highlighted Harp’s presence at a welcome function for Trump at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Dublin. The White House’s Rapid Response 47 account criticized Rupar, describing him as someone who posts ‘creepy’ content.

Rupar, a frequent critic of Trump, faced attacks from the White House for focusing on Harp following Senator Jon Ossoff’s remarks about her connection to the president. Ossoff, a Democrat from Georgia, accused Trump of prioritizing travel with Harp over job responsibilities, which led to Rupar posting about Harp several times.

Ossoff highlighted a report about Harp’s involvement when Trump switched planes due to a threat from Iran while leaving Turkey. His comments triggered further scrutiny of Harp’s role within Trump’s team. A White House spokesperson defended Harp, calling her one of the most loyal and hardworking aides while disparaging Ossoff.

Recent financial disclosures have spotlighted Harp again. Trump reportedly gave cash gifts of $45,000 to Harp and two other aides, sparking legal and ethical concerns. A White House official stated the gifts were unrelated to government duties and complied with legal standards.

The White House also criticized CNN correspondent Kristen Holmes after she questioned Trump regarding Ossoff’s comments. Trump belittled Ossoff’s appearance, stating he preferred other activities over presidential duties. The Rapid Response 47 account subsequently attacked Holmes, suggesting her children would be embarrassed by her actions.

Natalie Harp, a visible figure in Trump’s inner circle, serves as a trusted aide and manages his Truth Social account. Her early life in California and education at Point Loma Nazarene University and Liberty University paved her way into politics after publicly crediting Trump’s ‘Right to Try’ legislation for helping with her bone cancer treatment.

Harp joined Trump’s post-presidency team and became an integral part of his operations. During the 2024 campaign, she earned the nickname ‘human printer’ for her role in providing printed news to Trump. Her profile continued to rise, leading to her appointment as executive assistant upon Trump’s return to the presidency in 2025. Harp remains a prominent presence, accompanying Trump on various official trips and events.
