It’s a chilly morning in Northwest Ohio, a cool 53 degrees as I start writing. The temperature will rise to 76 later, contrasting with the usual climate in Texas and Florida this time of year. Northerners might envy southern winters, but for now, Detroit is just a flight away for those seeking cooler weather.
Weekend Observations
Wyndham Clark’s career has been on an upswing, with significant personal developments alongside his professional triumphs. His relationship with Michigan State graduate Emily Tanner received public attention during The Masters. Their connection seems to have brought positive changes, with Clark securing a U.S. Open win and the recent BMW Championship. Tanner is now moving from California to Arizona to live with Clark, a decision celebrated through social media interactions.
Clark, who ended 2025 ranked 46th globally, now stands at 5th. The couple plans an extensive travel itinerary through fall and winter after the final tournament this season.
Observations on Outdoor Tasks and Tools
The cost of gardening supplies as the season ends is surprising. While Home Depot sells impatiens for $15, Lowe’s offers similar plants for $4. My partner is experimenting with different plants to plan for future landscaping decisions, akin to trying out minor league talent before a sports playoff run.
Regarding yard work, investing in high-quality battery tools like those from Stihl can drastically improve outdoor tasks. However, Ryobi tools also offer efficiency at a lower price. Throughout the weekend, from lawn maintenance to personal fitness, productive routines completed important chores and plans.

Screencaps readers share insights, such as a bar owner from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, discussing the costs of NFL Sunday Ticket. DirecTV charges over $6,000 for the package, necessary to attract Sunday football fans. Breaking even depends on increasing patronage and individual spending. Further analysis of how Linda balances these costs is forthcoming.
Unexpected events like mysterious activity caught on security cameras invite curiosity. In Cincinnati, a reader shares footage from a driveway camera possibly capturing a bug or drone. Such occurrences spark intrigue and conversation among readers.
