Mojo Morgan Discusses ‘Jamaica Love’ and Rasta Rock

Mojo Morgan, a member of the Grammy-winning reggae group Morgan Heritage, recently shared insights into his musical journey and new EP, Jamaica Love, during an interview with Newsweek. Morgan’s music blends traditional reggae with rock influences—a style he often refers to as ‘Rasta Rock’.

Growing up in a musically gifted family, Morgan was exposed to reggae at an early age. His father, Denroy Morgan, a reggae legend, significantly influenced his career. This foundation led Mojo to develop a sound that pays homage to reggae roots while incorporating new elements.

The EP, Jamaica Love, is a reflection of his deep affection for his homeland and its vibrant culture. Through lyrics and melodies, he intends to convey a message of love, unity, and healing.

Morgan believes music possesses a healing power. It’s not only a source of pleasure but also a medium to connect people and inspire change. He hopes his work encourages listeners to embrace and celebrate life.
