Mike Rowe, known for founding the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, spoke in Washington, DC on March 11, 2026, during a panel at the BlackRock Infrastructure Summit. The event gathered leaders from various sectors to discuss U.S. infrastructure expansion.

Recently, Rowe has initiated legal action against Discovery. According to People Magazine, he alleges that the company owes him more than $2 million for his work on the series “Deadliest Catch.” Rowe, along with his production company Lab Rat, filed the lawsuit, claiming that Discovery Talent Services violated their contract by not paying him for narrating at least 51 episodes of the show and its related spinoffs.

Rowe has been the voice of “Deadliest Catch” since its launch in 2005. He asserts that a 2020 “pay-to-play” agreement stipulated he would receive $40,000 per episode regardless of his participation. The lawsuit points out that Rowe did not narrate five episodes in the show’s 21st season. However, Lab Rat discovered that international versions of the series differed significantly from the American broadcasts, classifying them as “originally produced.” According to the agreement, these episodes should be eligible for payment.

Lab Rat asserts that the company should pay $2.04 million in lost wages, considering 12 additional extended episodes, with interest. The suit requests a jury trial.

This is not Rowe’s first legal confrontation with Warner Bros. Discovery. In June 2025, he sued for residuals he claims were not paid after the show began streaming online.
