Mickie James Returns to TNA
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) veteran Mickie James will join the Bound for Glory lineup next weekend. This event marks TNA’s grandest show of the year. On Thursday’s “Impact” episode, a teaser aired featuring an older logo on a crate. As it opened, a beam of light emerged, revealing a white cowgirl hat and a denim jacket. A woman took the hat and put it on.
Fans immediately recognized James when her “Hardcore Country” theme played. Known for multiple terms with TNA, she first joined the company in 2002 when TNA partnered with the National Wrestling Alliance. After spending about a year there, she transitioned to WWE.
Achievements and Hall of Fame Induction
Returning to TNA in 2010, James immediately entered a feud with Madison Rayne. She claimed the TNA Knockouts Championship in April 2011, marking her as the first woman to hold the TNA Knockouts, WWE Women’s, and WWE Divas Championships. James has won the Knockouts Championship five times.
Her later tenure with TNA spanned from 2021 to 2023. Earlier this year, she clashed with the Elegance Brand at No Surrender. Last year, her contributions to wrestling earned her a place in the TNA Hall of Fame.
Bound for Glory Matches
Bound for Glory, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, features multiple title matches. The event will showcase a six-way match for the vacant TNA X Division Championship. Participants include Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Ryan Nemeth, and BDE.
