NFL fashion enthusiasts have transformed pregame attire into a notable event, with media outlets frequently highlighting player outfits. In Week 1, Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Landon Robinson stood out as best-dressed.
Robinson opted for a striking choice on Sunday, avoiding trendy suits or stylish jeans. While Detroit Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes sported a Spider-Man outfit, Robinson’s attire exceeded all expectations.

As a Naval Academy graduate and former Navy defensive tackle, Robinson attended the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his full dress uniform. This choice coincided with NFL’s tributes during the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
Robinson, commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps after graduating in May 2026 with a degree in cyber operations, leverages a provision for service-academy athletes to engage in professional sports. This allows Robinson to play for Cincinnati while serving in the reserves.
The Bengals drafted Robinson in the seventh round of the April draft, marking him as their first service-academy selection since 1968. Despite his commitment to a 10-year reserve term, Robinson’s football career remains uninterrupted, though a potential return to active duty exists.
“The Naval Academy, it’s a leadership laboratory,” Robinson remarked post-draft. His time there instilled leadership, discipline, and determination, enabling him to secure a roster spot despite being deemed undersized.
Robinson was among seven Bengals players designated as inactive for Sunday’s game. Nonetheless, earning a place on the 53-man roster in the first week is a remarkable accomplishment.
“The fact the late-round, undersized guy is on the 53-man roster from Week 1 speaks volumes,” Robinson noted.
