Kim Kardashian’s mansion in Hidden Hills experienced a break-in on Sunday. Officials confirmed that a vehicle was taken from the property. Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station were called to the scene on Long Valley Road, where they arrested an adult male.
The residence is currently undergoing renovations, and Kardashian, along with her four children, does not live there at the moment. The suspect, identified as Trey Mendel, was reportedly seen putting items into a vehicle at the house according to the Los Angeles Times. Authorities stated, “Upon arrival, deputies located a white male adult — Trey Mendel — and placed him under arrest for burglary and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.”
The suspect was booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station. He is still in custody as the investigation continues. The case will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for consideration. It has been confirmed that the stolen vehicle did not belong to Kim Kardashian.
Officers have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Detective Bureau. Representatives for Kardashian have not provided comments yet.
In 2014, Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband, Kanye West, bought the Hidden Hills mansion for about $20 million. After their divorce settlement, Kardashian acquired the home and its contents for $23 million. She currently resides there with their four children: North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm. Their divorce was finalized in November 2022.
