So, we ended up playing a show in Virginia and giving all that money to those families,” Rock explained. This commitment has been deeply rewarding for him.
Kid Rock is also known for his support of former President Donald Trump. He performed at the 2024 Republican National Convention shortly after Trump was shot during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Earlier this year, a controversial video surfaced of two AH-64 Apache helicopters flying over Rock’s Tennessee residence. Following these events, Kid Rock joined Hegseth in Washington, D.C., for a private helicopter ride. The visit allowed Rock to engage with service members and record videos for Memorial Day, America’s 250th birthday, and his Freedom 250 tour. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell highlighted the importance of the event, emphasizing Rock’s appreciation for the professionalism and sacrifice of the military personnel.
