Josh Allen is a prominent American athlete, playing as the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL). Renowned for his competitive spirit, Allen is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the league today.

Allen’s journey in the NFL began when he was selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Initially, he started his career as the backup for Nathan Peterman. However, Allen quickly rose to the position of starting quarterback after Peterman was benched in the second game of the 2018 season.

His initial seasons with the Bills were marked by strong competitiveness, although his performance largely went under the radar until the breakthrough 2020 season. That year, Allen led Buffalo to its first playoff victory in 25 years and secured a division title, ending a drought dating back to 1995.

Allen’s pre-NFL days were spent excelling in college football. He played for Reedley College in 2014 and later transferred to the University of Wyoming in 2015. Allen’s standout performance at Wyoming in the 2017 season included 1,812 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

In the 2020 season, Allen shattered records for the Bills, achieving new heights in both single-season passing yards and touchdowns. His outstanding performance earned him a Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro honors. Despite having a relatively short tenure in the NFL, Allen has amassed over 17,000 passing yards and approximately 3,000 rushing yards, while maintaining a completion percentage of 62.6%. Additionally, he set an NFL record during the 2021 season with the highest passer rating in a single postseason.
