Four women have accused Jared Leto of sexual misconduct, alleging incidents during their teenage years. Leto, an actor and musician, responded to these claims, asserting, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false,” in a statement to The Associated Press.

The BBC documentary titled “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret” was released on Wednesday. It presents allegations from four women who accused Leto of misconduct and assault between 2002 and 2016. During this period, the women were teenagers, and Leto was an adult.

One woman claimed that she was 17 when she was sexually assaulted. Another accused Leto of statutory rape at the age of 17. Additionally, a woman stated she was 19 when Leto threatened her with sexual assault, while another alleged he made sexually explicit phone calls and propositions when she was 16.

The BBC reports that it corroborated these accounts but they could not be independently verified by the AP. The documentary does not disclose the women’s full names. Furthermore, the BBC stated that Leto did not respond to their attempts to seek comment for the documentary.

The Associated Press reached out to the BBC for a response to Leto’s denial. In a previous report, nine women accused Leto of misconduct, as covered by Air Mail in a story published last year. A representative for Leto denied those allegations at the time.

Leto, known for his Oscar-winning performance in “Dallas Buyers Club,” also leads the band Thirty Seconds to Mars. Recently, he acted as Skeletor in “Masters of the Universe.”
