Jaclyn Smith Celebrates ‘Charlie’s Angels’ 50th Anniversary

Jaclyn Smith, famous for her role in “Charlie’s Angels,” recently shared insights about her age-defying look at 80 years old. Her secret? She believes love matters more than makeup.

Smith made a stunning appearance at the Paley Honors Spring Gala in New York City, alongside former co-star Kate Jackson, celebrating the 50th anniversary of their iconic series.

When asked by Fox News Digital about her beauty secrets, Smith attributed her youthful glow to “clean living” and being surrounded by loved ones. She expressed gratitude for her supportive family, including her husband, two children, and three granddaughters.

The actress reflected on her time on “Charlie’s Angels,” where she played Kelly Garrett from 1976 to 1981. Smith remarked on Instagram about attending the gala and accepting honors with Jackson, acknowledging the ongoing legacy of the series.

“Grateful doesn’t begin to encompass how I feel to have been and continue to be a part of that legacy,” Smith shared.

Fans praised Smith for her timeless beauty and influence, commenting on her role as a model and inspiration for many.

Smith recalled her early days in Hollywood, initially unaware of the significant impact “Charlie’s Angels” would have in pop culture. She noted how the show paved the way for new roles for women.

“Charlie’s Angels” became a major hit after its 1976 premiere, transforming Smith, Jackson, and Farrah Fawcett into global stars. Despite changes in the cast, Smith remained the only original Angel throughout its five-season run.

The Paley Honors Spring Gala celebrated how the series continues to air worldwide even 50 years later. Jackson marveled at its ongoing popularity, stating, “It’s just really amazing.”

These days, Jackson prefers a peaceful life on a farm in Virginia, appreciating the tranquility away from Hollywood.

“I love that there’s no pressure,” Jackson said. “It’s just wonderful, there are the animals and some friends… and it’s a great way to live.”

Smith’s career, spanning over five decades, began in modeling before television roles led to her breakthrough in “Charlie’s Angels.” She received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in a TV movie.

In her personal life, Smith has been married four times, finding lasting love with surgeon Brad Allen in 1997.
