Iranian People’s Concerns Over Potential Deal

Cameron Khansarinia, chief of staff to exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, shared concerns that a possible peace agreement between President Donald Trump and the Iranian regime might serve as a ‘lifeline’ for Tehran. Speaking on ‘Sunday Morning Futures,’ he emphasized skepticism among the Iranian population regarding the regime’s commitment to honoring any such deal.

Khansarinia criticized the Islamic Republic and its ‘terrorist proxies’ for years of oppression. He expressed that people in Iran are apprehensive about the regime receiving another opportunity, saying, “The people in the country with whom we speak on a daily basis, frankly, are nervous. They’re nervous that their regime, which has held them hostage for 47 years, might be thrown a lifeline yet again.”

The people of Iran do not accept this regime. Any agreement is viewed as illegitimate unless it leads to complete freedom for the Iranian people.

Responding to ongoing negotiations, Trump stated on Truth Social that talks with Iran were ‘orderly and constructive.’ He emphasized the U.S. commitment to a deal in which ‘there can be no mistakes,’ reaffirming efforts to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He mentioned, “The blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed.”

A senior U.S. official informed Fox News of possible significant accommodations regarding sanctions relief if Iran makes concessions on enriched uranium. Despite these negotiations, Khansarinia believes the region stands ‘on the cusp of a major decision point.’ He questioned whether to ‘tip this regime over the edge’ or agree to a deal unlikely to be honored by the regime.

Khansarinia firmly conveyed that the Iranian public seeks genuine change and freedom rather than deals perceived as transient solutions, expressing that past experiences suggest the regime would not remain faithful to any agreement reached.
