Instagram Mix-Up Involving Tua Tagovailoa Sparks Response

A recent Instagram blunder involving Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa caught attention after a screenshot suggested that he commented on his post.

The original post featured a carousel of photos showing Tagovailoa playing with his new team during the preseason. The post was captioned “For the A.” A comment from @tuaman, Tagovailoa’s Instagram handle, read, “We’re so proud of you!! You got this.”

The comment was quickly removed. Barstool Sports and other media outlets captured a screenshot, showing evidence of the comment. Many commentators mocked Tagovailoa, suggesting he intended to use a “burner account”.

His wife soon clarified the situation by commenting on the post. She admitted the mistake, explaining she had forgotten to switch to her account. “No burner account! I was busy with the kids this morning and forgot to switch back to my account,” she wrote. She added, “He’s busy at work, as he’s said he doesn’t have social media, and I post on his behalf! Will pay more attention next time.”

According to People, Tagovailoa married Annah Gore in a private ceremony in July 2022. The couple has a son named Ace and a daughter named Maisey. They recently announced on Instagram that they are expecting a third child.

On the football field, Tagovailoa aims for significant achievements in his new setting. The Falcons have yet to decide whether he or Michael Penix Jr. will start for Week 1. During the preseason and training camp, Tagovailoa has competed for the QB1 spot.

Tagovailoa played against his former team, the Miami Dolphins, contributing to a 17-12 preseason victory. He completed 7 of 8 passes, totaling 95 yards. Atlanta is preparing for its matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 13. Many await the announcement of the starting quarterback. ESPN reports that head coach Kevin Stefanski, president of football Matt Ryan, team owner Arthur Blank, and Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham will make the decision.
