Hulk Hogan may have passed away last July, but Hulkamania remains alive and well. In the heart of New York City, right outside Madison Square Garden, Nick Hogan and his partner Rich Rosen are gearing up to extend Hogan’s legacy with the opening of Hulk Hogan’s SLAM Sports Bar. The bar promises to honor the history of pro wrestling and the legends who shaped it.
“The location is special,” Nick Hogan explained. “It’s right at the entrance of Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, a central spot in New York City. Bringing this concept here not only celebrates New York City but also the birthplace and spiritual home of Hulkamania.” The excitement around the opening is palpable, with promises of a unique fan experience and family and friends gathering to celebrate.
Rich Rosen, a native New Yorker, has been attending Madison Square Garden since the 1970s. Having witnessed iconic athletes like Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Muhammad Ali, and Michael Jordan perform, Rosen dreamt of bringing Hogan’s brand to the city. Collaborating with design experts like ICRAVE, Rosen envisions the bar as a nostalgic trip back to the 80s and 90s when Hulkamania ruled New York.
“With the future in mind and incredible effects from ICRAVE,” Rosen explained, “we want patrons to step back in time to when Hulkamania took over New York City. Attendees will be able to enjoy games and events at Madison Square Garden and then relive moments from when New York was at its peak. The bar aims to offer a worthy complement to Madison Square Garden.”
Nick Hogan carries the torch to honor his father’s legacy both inside and outside the ring. For Nick, Hulkamania bridges generations of sports fans.
“It means everything,” Nick shared. “This spans past, present, and future, reflecting on the legacy and iconic moments my father left behind. It inspires others and helps us carry that spirit forward. Hulkamania is more than just wrestling; it’s a mantra.”
Sitting in SLAM Sports Bar, fans can revisit classic wrestling matches while watching current games, creating a bridge between past and future celebrations. The concept ensures Hulkamania’s spirit will live forever, honoring Hulk Hogan’s legacy in the manner he intended.
Much-loved by fans even in his final days, Nick emphasized his father’s pivotal role in wrestling. “I believe he is the most important figure in professional wrestling entertainment,” Nick told OutKick. “While many legends contributed to wrestling, my dad moved the needle more than anyone else.”
