Heidi Klum Rejects Hollywood’s Beauty Norms

Heidi Klum is speaking out against a popular Hollywood beauty obsession. As speculation grows about celebrities using Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs, the supermodel makes it clear she has no interest in the trend. Klum attributes her changed perspective to her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who has influenced her view of her body after years of industry pressure to remain thin.

Heidi Klum on Ozempic and Weight Loss

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Klum stated, “I’m not interested at all,” in reference to weight-loss drugs. At 53, she acknowledges gaining weight over recent years, a change she believes enhances her appearance more than the ultra-slim look promoted by the modeling world.

Klum said, “I’ve gained weight over the years. I’m no longer a size 24 jean. But I think with age, we look better when we’re not as skinny.”

The Influence of Tom Kaulitz

The pivotal change for Klum came from her husband, who suggested she “eat more” to improve her appearance. This was counter to what she had always been told in the industry, where skinnier is typically preferred. Reflecting on old photos, Klum admits her husband was correct, as she believes she looks better with more weight.

Klum and German guitarist Tom Kaulitz secretly married in February 2019, later celebrating with a grand ceremony on a super yacht near Capri, Italy.

Respecting Personal Choices

Despite her personal stance, Klum is not critical of those who choose to try Ozempic. She acknowledges that for many, weight has been a lifelong struggle, and such weight-loss aids might provide the necessary boost some need.

Klum explains, “In general, people should do what they want. It’s the same with Ozempic. If you’ve been trapped by weight issues for 40 years, maybe this is something worth trying.”

Similarly, Klum is nonjudgmental about cosmetic procedures like Botox and facelifts. She argues that self-confidence, rather than cosmetic enhancements, is what truly attracts others.

She asserts, “What makes a person sexy is knowing their self-worth and who they are. It’s about feeling great in your skin and knowing what you can do.”
