The New York Giants endured a challenging game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. They lost their starting quarterback, Jaxson Dart, to a sprained MCL in the first quarter.
The team’s difficulties were compounded when star wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a painful injury after attempting to catch a pass from backup quarterback Jameis Winston. Nabers was treated by the medical team on the sideline and was questionable for return.
Fortunately, Nabers made a comeback in the second quarter. Post-game, the 23-year-old revealed he had to realign his shoulder before rejoining his teammates. He stated, “My shoulder’s okay. Gonna get an X-ray on it, see what’s going on. I was out there, trying to just come back out. We had lost [Jaxson Dart], so I didn’t want to give the team another loss.”
Despite returning to the field, Nabers did not have a significant impact during the game, securing only one catch for a single yard. The Giants suffered a 28-6 loss.
Looking ahead, the Giants aim to regroup as they prepare for a Week 3 matchup against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.
