Jenny Lupton, a 50-year-old flight attendant with Southwest Airlines, was discovered dead in Hawaii during a layover on Friday. The Honolulu Police Department has announced that its homicide detail is thoroughly investigating the incident and the factors surrounding it.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the police emphasized that no conclusions have been drawn. ‘To preserve the integrity of the investigation, HPD will limit the release of certain information,’ they noted.
Lupton’s coworkers have launched a GoFundMe campaign. Part of the campaign description reads: ‘Jenny was one of us. She was part of our work family. She shared the skies with us, worked beside us, laughed with us, and touched the lives of so many.’
The fundraiser has already gathered over $6,000 out of a target of $26,000. The funds aim to support Lupton’s family. ‘We are heartbroken. We are devastated. And we are going to do everything we can to make sure her family knows that they have good people on their side,’ the fundraiser further stated.
