The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken steps to contact several individuals who traveled on the Qatari-donated aircraft used by President Trump for his trip to Turkey last week. This inquiry is part of an investigation into a leak reported by The New York Times, focusing on security issues associated with the plane.

Investigators have aimed to communicate with members of the U.S. Secret Service who were part of the presidential delegation. According to an anonymous source familiar with the investigation, the Secret Service’s leadership has advised its personnel to direct all external inquiries to their legal representatives.

The FBI, alongside the Secret Service, has remained silent on the matter, declining any comments. The news organization has perceived this action as a tactic to intimidate its reporters.

Leading the leak inquiry are Kash Patel, the FBI director, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Their aim is to pinpoint individuals who disclosed details regarding the security issues tied to the new Air Force One, which were highlighted in two articles by The Times last week.
