Open House Chicago returns for its 16th year on October 17-18. Organized by the Chicago Architecture Center, this public festival offers a unique opportunity to explore both famous and hidden spaces across the city. With collaboration from over 200 sites, the event spans numerous neighborhoods.
Visitors can explore a wide range of locations, including churches, homes, skyscrapers, clubs, breweries, museums, theaters, and farms. These locations offer insights into their historical and cultural importance to Chicago. The event is free to attend, and no tickets or advance registration is necessary.
To make the most of your visit, plan your schedule with consideration to transit times. Create your itinerary at openhousechicago.org and access it from any device. Focus on key sites available for only one day, and make time to try a local restaurant you haven’t visited before.
