Drew Carey, known for hosting “The Price is Right,” recently voiced his disapproval of Spencer Pratt’s candidacy for Los Angeles mayor through a social media post. Carey expressed concerns about Pratt’s competence, urging Los Angeles residents to carefully consider their choices before the June primaries.
In his blunt message, Carey stated, “Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Pratt for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their a–.” He emphasized the importance of supporting a competent candidate rather than someone untrusted.
Spencer Pratt launched his campaign for mayor in January, motivated by dissatisfaction with the current administration. Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, were among those who blamed the city and the Department of Water and Power for damages caused by a 2025 wildfire that destroyed their home. This prompted them to file a lawsuit against the city.
“We have the greatest slice of heaven on Earth with our city, and we deserve better. Vote for Pratt. Vote for LA. Vote TODAY. Let’s clean this city together,” Pratt urged residents.
Despite Carey’s criticism, Pratt has urged Los Angeles residents to support his campaign. He speaks against the current state of the city, aiming to bring about significant change. Although a registered Republican, Pratt maintains that his campaign is for the people and remains unaffiliated with any political party.
The mayoral race in Los Angeles remains a nonpartisan election. If no candidate secures over 50% of the vote in the June 2 primary, the top two candidates will proceed to a runoff in November. Among Pratt’s opponents is LA council member Nithya Raman.
