After enduring long, 14-hour workdays, Diane Farr now finds joy in the Pacific Northwest. The star cherishes her Sundays, devoting time to friends, paddleboarding, e-biking, and savoring life on the water. She shared these insights during an interview with Fox News Digital.

Once tethered to California, Farr revealed her current home after deciding to leave Los Angeles. With her children off to college, she felt free to establish roots in rural Washington. Additionally, she plans to divide her time between living in Vancouver and Spain.

I moved to rural Washington because I found a beautiful house, and it was more affordable compared to Los Angeles living, she stated.

Farr’s move comes as she stars in “Fire Country”, filmed in Vancouver. She portrays Sharon Leone, a Cal Fire Division Chief, and mother to Bode Leone. The fifth season is set for premiere on October 9, 2026, airing on CBS with streaming on Paramount+ the following day.

Explaining her departure from California, Farr expressed permission to leave once her children moved away for college. As she put it, “I had been confined to LA for 15 years when my kids were young and feared missing key events.” The pandemic added another perspective, prompting her change.

In this interview, Farr touched on her “third act,” aiming for more joy. She envisions alternating between Spain and Vancouver six months each, seeking a fulfilling lifestyle.

Reflecting on her years in Los Angeles, Farr noted her aspirations which turned into reality. She moved from New York City at 26, succeeding in her acting dreams, and highlighted the positives, including raising a family there.

Farr shares three children with her ex-husband, Seung Yong Chung: Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17.

As “Fire Country” progresses into season five, Farr’s character, Sharon, anticipates new experiences. After facing grief, Sharon ends the previous season romantically invigorated, although with some challenges given her responsibilities.
