As reported by Fox News, the White House is celebrating declining violent crime rates in the U.S., attributing this trend to the deportation of violent criminal illegal immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) considers this a “common sense” approach.
A new analysis from the Council on Criminal Justice (CCJ) indicates that homicides in the U.S. will “likely” reach a historic low, with a decrease seen in various crime rates by mid-year. Homicides have declined by 18% in a sample group of major U.S. cities compared to the previous year, possibly leading to the lowest level since 1900. Other crime rates show significant drops, including a 47% reduction in carjackings, a 20% decrease in motor vehicle thefts, a 17% fall in robberies, and a 13% decline in residential burglaries.
The report was highlighted by the White House as evidence of fulfilling President Trump’s promise to restore law and order. Assistant DHS Secretary Lauren Bis commented to Fox News Digital, saying, “It is common sense. When you remove criminals from the country, crime rates fall.”
Recent deportations have been shared exclusively with Fox News Digital, showcasing the removal of individuals convicted of serious crimes such as homicide, drug trafficking, aggravated assault, and carjacking. Among those deported are foreign nationals with illegal re-entries into the country.
One such deportee, Jared Adonay Cruz-Rivera, a member of Tren de Aragua, was deported on July 18 after a conviction for robbery and arrest for drug possession. Another deportee, Olegario Ramirez, a Mexican national and gang member, was deported on July 27. He has a criminal history of homicide and illegal re-entry into the U.S.
Bulmaro Rendon-Ramos, also deported on July 27, faced multiple convictions for robbery, burglary, and driving under the influence. Nammoun Khampanya, a Crips gang member, was deported on July 28 for charges including cocaine possession and weapon possession.
Among other deportees were Omar Loaces Gonzalez from Cuba, involved in vehicle theft and wire fraud, and Haitian national Marc James Guerrier Pinard, convicted for armed carjacking and burglary.
Assistant Secretary Bis remarked that the Trump administration’s efforts have led to a significant reduction in crime, including a potential drop in murders to the lowest level in 126 years. The correlation between decreasing crime rates and the deportations of dangerous criminals appears evident.
