Best-selling author Dave Eggers introduces his latest novel this week. The story focuses on two friends with a passion for art, spanning several decades. Eggers, known for his distinct voice and narrative style, continues to engage readers across the globe.

Jeffrey Brown, the senior arts correspondent, provides insights from San Francisco for the CANVAS arts and culture series. Brown has worked with the News Hour for over three decades, offering coverage as a co-anchor, studio moderator, and field reporter on various national and international topics. His assignments have taken him across the United States and many parts of the world.

As an arts correspondent, Brown has profiled numerous renowned writers, musicians, actors, and other artists. His notable projects for the News Hour include a multi-year series, “Culture at Risk,” which examines endangered cultural heritage both in the U.S. and internationally. He also initiated the NewsHour’s online segment “Art Beat” and hosts the monthly book club, “Now Read This,” in partnership with The New York Times.
