Nearly a year after finishing her ‘Brat Tour,’ Charli XCX is returning with a new series of performances titled ‘Music, Fashion, Film.’ The tour will feature hyperpop artist Underscores as the opening act. Charli XCX is supporting her seventh album, which shares the name of the tour and is set to be released on July 24.
The tour kicks off on September 11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and concludes on October 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In total, Charli XCX will perform 12 shows across North America. The tour includes two performances each in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Additional cities on the itinerary include Boston, Washington, Atlanta, San Diego, and Glendale. Toronto is the sole Canadian city included in the tour schedule.
On Instagram, Charli XCX shared her excitement, stating, “soooo excited to announce the Music, Fashion, Film Tour! sign up for presale access now through June 10th at 11pm ET at charlixcx.com/tour. can’t wait to party together again, it’s gonna be cute xx.” She also hinted at potential UK dates in a separate Instagram Story.
Fans had mixed reactions to the tour announcement. Many were thrilled, while some expressed disappointment over the limited number of dates and venues. A common sentiment among fans criticized the tour being labeled as North American with only one Canadian date. One comment read, “Why call it a North American tour if only 1 date is outside of the US.” However, others praised the tour’s theme, noting its creative and immersive potential.
