Visitors at Disneyland faced unexpected disruptions when a citywide water pressure outage led to temporary closures of restrooms and restaurants within the park. The outage occurred in Anaheim, California, and also affected nearby businesses and Angel Stadium starting around 6 p.m. PDT on Tuesday.

A Disneyland representative confirmed that the water pressure issues temporarily impacted operations across the resort. The team worked efficiently to assist guests amid the inconvenience. City officials identified technical problems with groundwater wells as the cause, affecting four of them. Anaheim typically sources 75% of its water from groundwater wells and the rest from the Colorado River.

By 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday, the City of Anaheim reported that the issue was resolved and all operations resumed normally. A spokesperson reassured the public that there were no ongoing concerns related to water availability.

The situation took some parkgoers by surprise. Tiffany Christensen, a Disneyland guest, shared her perspective with KTLA, noting that though the situation was chaotic, the staff managed it well. She mentioned that many guests understood the issue was beyond Disneyland’s control, but certain others found the disruption inconvenient.

Discussion on a Disneyland subreddit reflected mixed reactions from visitors, with one stating the closures were inconvenient but managed as best as possible. Some guests considered leaving the park for refunds due to the lack of restroom access.

This recent water pressure problem follows a previous water shortage in southern California. Public restrooms along Highway 101 were closed due to the scarcity, with the closures expected to continue until October 1.
